Miss International 2006 & Miss Earth 2005 Together!
Daniela Anette di Giacomo di Giovanni (born May 5, 1985) is a Venezuelan TV show host, model and Venezuelan beauty queen. She was elected Miss Venezuela international 2005 and was crowned Miss International 2006 in China. Di Giacomo also competed in Miss World Coffee Pageant in Guatemala, where she placed as a finalist and won the Miss Photogenic title.
Alexandra Braun Waldeck (born May 19, 1983) is a Venezuelan TV show host and Miss Earth 2005. The 5'10" Venezuelan beauty queen went on to compete in the 2005 Miss Venezuela pageant. While she only placed first runner-up, representing Nueva Esparta, she was selected by Sambil Model Caracas to represent Venezuela at Miss Earth held in Manila, Philippines. She was crowned Miss Earth on October 23, 2005.
She was the first Venezuelan to win the competition. Her win makes Venezuela the second country after Brazil to win all of the "Big Four" pageants.

Miss Gibraltar Kaiane Aldorino crowned the Miss World 2009
Miss Gibraltar Kaiane Aldorino was crowned the Miss World 2009 at the 59th Miss World Pageant finals held at the Gallagher Convention Centre, Johannesburg, South Africa on 12th Decemeber, 2009. More than 112 contestants from all over the world participated in this event, the highest ever turnout in the Miss World History.
Millions of people world wide watched the most awaited event of this year on their TV screens, as the previous Miss World 2008, Ksenia Sukhinova from Russia crowned Kaiane Aldorino as her successor.
The event was full of glitz, glamour and suspense as beauty queens from different parts of world competed for the ultimate title. Bollywood actress and former Miss World Priyanka Chopra was also present there to hand over the Miss World 2009 sash to Miss Gibraltar while the outgoing Miss World 2008, Ksenia Sukinova handed over the crowned to the new Miss World, Kaiane Aldorino.
The Win for 22 year old, Miss Kaiane Aldorino came as a surprise as no one from her home country, Gibraltar had ever qualified to the Miss World finals before so she was not expected as the hot favorite for the crown earlier.
The First & Second runners up were Perla Beltran of Mexico and Tatum Keshwar of South Africa respectively.
Previously, in a fast track semi-final event Miss World Kaiane Aldorino also won the title of Beach Beauty. Next Miss World 2010 event is expected to take place in Vietnam.

JAPAN: Best in National Costume
Marina wore a modern gown with an intricate design at the back mimicking the Japanese Art of Tattooing or Irezumi. Irezumi is a traditional Japanese art. Oukoshisei regards tattooing as an art form, expressing the greatness and the beauty of tattoos.
"This is my costume, it was inherited to me. I wore it to bring hope and to show a different world for the modern Japanese women -who are not only associated with kimono costume.", Miss Japan said. She was surprised by her victory that night, and she wanted to convey the images of Japan's blooming fresh flowers and murmuring water flows with it.
"With this victory, I was able to show a new culture of our country to the world. I do not think I would win or lose, but I am surprised and was proud prior to winning. This award as well as my luck is for Japan and the significance of this outfit.", she added.

Northern Ireland is 2010 Miss World Sports Woman
Keen sportswoman Northern Ireland triumphed over her competitors in the Miss World 2010 Sportswoman Final, winning the second guaranteed spot in the live televised final on 30 October.
Despite a 6:30am start, the contestants all entered the spirit of the day, with face paint and banners to support their team mates competing for the honour of their group.
Northern Ireland excelled especially in the long jump event but was also ranked very well in the sprint race and swimming. Her combined score placed her top of the list and she was awarded with the title and a medal – plus that all important place in the Final.
“I’m a triple jumper so I hoped to do well in the long jump,’ said Northern Ireland. “I’m glad I could stand up to the strong competition in the other events and come through with the medal. I’m in the Final! I can’t believe this.”
On the winners’ podium with Northern Ireland were Slovakia in second place and Norway who took third spot. They each received a medal and a bouquet of flowers. The event took place on the beach, gardens and pool of the Sheraton Sanya Resort.
The team competition was battled out by four teams of five girls chosen from the fitness elimination tests held earlier. The team title was won by the blue team(Group 4: Slovakia, St Kitts & Nevis, US Virgin Islands, Turkey and Wales). Second was the white team (Group 3: Mongolia, Paraguay, Martinique, NorthernIreland and Norway), third was the pink team (Group 2: Finland,Guyana, Ireland, Hungary and Iceland) and fourth was the yellow team (Group 1: Australia, Cayman Islands, Botswana, Brazil and Canada).
After a well-deserved lunch back at the Crowne Plaza Sanya, the girls went back into rehearsals for Saturday’s Chinese Fashion Show on a stage in front of the hotel.
